Can you really make money playing on Ignition Poker and is it profitable? Well, I normally don’t give this kind of information away to anyone, but I think it’s important to look out for the poker community at large. And I want to be transparent as possible because I’ve been using this site since they first opened over 10 years ago.
In that time, I’ve found that playing here can be profitable if you follow a formula and are willing to put in the time and volume to see the results. It’s not easy but I think you will understand the potential to play on Ignition as I dive into this update.

Low Stakes
Okay, Ignition has games that range from $2 a buy in up to $2000 per table. The low stake games, cash games specifically are some of the easiest of any site I’ve played on. Any game under $100 a table on Ignition can be very profitable, especially if you multi table.
Ignition does limit you to playing only 4 tables at a time which may sound like a negative at first. But to win at online poker now and into the future you really need to pay attention to what you’re doing. This means focusing on the games you’re playing and picking up on any timing tells or knowing when maybe the best thing to do is fold.
I find that 2 tables at a time is the sweet spot for most players. But understand that the low stake games can easily be beaten if you are skilled, put in the time to sharpen your game, and understand all the poker concepts like GTO, ABC etc.
Mid Stakes
Now this is where I spend most of my time typically between the $500 and $1000 cash games. This is where things can get a bit dicey since most players are decent and you will need to be on, you’re A game most of the time to get an edge.
However, I’ve still be able to be profitable over the long-term playing mid stakes on Ignition over a large sample size. I am talking about after playing hundreds of thousands of hands that have been tracked inside my account dashboard.
Sure, I’ve had some losing weeks and possibly a losing month or two I’ve still managed to be profitable and cash out consistently playing here for years. And you will see proof of some of my cash outs later in this update.
How Much Money Can You Make?
Okay, so this is going to be based on the results I’ve seen starting with some of the low stake games with hands needed to be played per day. As a starting line for low stakes you want to try and put in around 300-500 hands per day on average. This would take you about 4 to 6 hours if you are playing 1-2 tables at a time. If you were to play let’s, say $100 games based on the number of hands, I’ve given you played per day you would average anywhere from $50 to $200 per day. This includes variance based on my own results.
Since I typically play higher stakes than this, I can also give you a range of what you can expect to make. Playing $500 cash games 1-2 tables at a time at 300-500 hands per day you would average anywhere from $150 to $500 per day. That is with variance.
What Is Variance Exactly?
Basically, even if you play perfectly, you’re going to have lost sessions. What I mean is that sometimes when you go all in with AK preflop the guy who calls you with AQ is going to catch is queen and you’re going to lose. There is nothing you can do about it, it’s just poker.
The average amount per day I am giving you looks at the longer-term results of playing. I usually don’t even check my results until the end of the month, which is the best way to do it in my opinion. That way you’re not constantly checking to see where you’re at and if you’re up on the day or not. Some days variance is going to bite you in the butt and there is nothing you can do about it.
Payment Proof
I’ve attached a screenshot of some cash outs I’ve had playing on Ignition just as proof of what’s possible. Once you get the ball rolling here and put some time into getting a feel for the players at different stakes, the software etc, that’s when things really start to click.
Another nice thing about playing here is that the cash outs are extremely fast via crypto. I usually go with Bitcoin or USDT mainly. The reason is because Im comfortable using those two options, but if you want the lowest fees possibly go with USDT.
Are Tournaments Profitable?
The nice thing about Ignition is that they do have some big multi table tournaments to play in during the week and weekends. They also host some specialty tournaments throughout the year as well. Currently they offer up millions of dollars in prizes every month on these tournaments.
But from my own experience playing in them they have a ton of variance because you have to beat so many players to make a final table. I’ve made some final tables and have had some pretty big pay outs of over $10k in one individual tournament playing here but overall, the cash games are where you are going to make the consistent money. My advice is to just mix in the tournaments every once in a while, for fun. Because you never know, and eventually you make a final table for a big score.

Final Thoughts
Making consistent money playing online poker is not easy. I think that should be obvious if you’ve played this game long enough. But Ignition has all the ingredients of a profitable poker site if you apply yourself, continuously improve, and don’t get emotional when a bad beat happens.
You will need to hit certain targets of playing 300-500 hands per day as a baseline to make decent money playing here, but it’s more than possible. It just depends on how bad you want it. I’ve wanted it bad which is why I’ve never stopped grinding the mid stakes playing here. Sure, the money is good, but I just enjoy playing in general.
My advice would be to take advantage of the generous welcome bonus they have here first. After that test the site, out a bit playing low stakes and get a feel for the players and software. After you get the hand of things take your game seriously and start putting in the volume every day, check your results every 30 days, and hopefully start to get some withdrawals going for the time you put in after you’ve built your bankroll up enough. Ignition is a profitable site to play on I am proof of what’s possible.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you really win money on Ignition Poker as a beginner?
Yes, many beginners are able to win money on Ignition Poker, especially at the micro and low stakes games. The platform attracts a large number of recreational players, which often makes the games softer than many regulated poker sites. If you focus on solid fundamentals like tight-aggressive play, bankroll management, and table selection, beginners can gradually become profitable.
Is Ignition Poker profitable for low stakes players?
Ignition Poker can be profitable for low stakes players who play disciplined poker and avoid common mistakes. Games like NL5, NL10, and small buy-in tournaments often have a high percentage of casual players. Many grinders target these stakes specifically because the competition is weaker and the player pool is large.
Why are Ignition Poker games considered softer than other poker sites?
One of the main reasons Ignition Poker games are softer is the anonymous table system. Since players cannot track opponents with HUD software, experienced grinders lose some of their analytical advantage. This levels the playing field and keeps recreational players comfortable playing regularly. In my opinion this is one of the softest sites still available online, and I’ve played on them all.
What is the best strategy to beat Ignition Poker games?
The most effective strategy on Ignition Poker is a simple tight-aggressive style. Focus on value betting strong hands, avoid unnecessary bluffs, and exploit players who call too often. Many recreational players make mistakes like chasing draws or playing too many hands, which skilled players can capitalize on. If you focus on understanding GTO and playing an ABC aggressive style at most stakes you will do just fine. Just don’t get too wreckless with bluffing unless you have a read on someone at your table.
Is Ignition Poker rigged?
Ignition Poker is considered an honest online poker site that uses a random number generator (RNG) to ensure fair card distribution. Like any poker platform, players will experience variance and bad beats, but over a large sample size skilled players can still maintain a winning edge.
